How to play

Unfolded, the phone is a book: the maze is on the right page, and on the left a second page with holes in it, drawn mirrored. Walk your crane to the gold moon.

Fold the phone: the left page combines with the right one into a new maze. Its paths bridge the holes below, and whoever is underneath is pinned flat; pinned, you can only wait or unfold. Unfold the phone: the page lifts away, carrying whoever stood on it, held in the paper until the next fold. Lifted, you can only wait or fold.

Swipe to move: each swipe is one step, one square, and a step into a wall costs nothing. Tap your crane to wait a turn while everyone else moves. You can wait as often as you like.

The black cat and the gray cat follow the corridor and turn to their own side at a fork. The fox chases you. Everyone moves at the same time, and a cat or the fox catches you if you end a turn on its square or you pass through each other.

Walk onto a key to take it: any key opens any door for good. A sakura is a switch: arriving on it flips every paper floor of its group, so floors come and go. Crumbling paper tears into a hole once someone leaves it.

At the end of every turn, an arrow pushes whoever stands on it on to the square it points to; if the way is blocked, it pushes again once the way opens. No one can step onto an arrow against it.

A windmill turns its paths a quarter at the end of every turn that ends with someone standing on it: step on and it turns, wait on it and it turns again.

In the first levels, a paper slip hangs under the red strip and shows the next move.

Folding without a hinge

On other iPhones and on iPad, the two pages open side by side, in landscape. Tap the fold mark at the bottom right, beside the book, or pinch with two fingers, to fold and unfold. On iPhone Duo, the hinge is the fold: fold and unfold the phone itself.

Seeing where the page lands

Half-fold the phone to see a faint picture of the left page on the maze. On other iPhones and on iPad, tap the peek mark above the fold mark, and tap it again to hide it. It costs no turn.

Reset, and getting caught

There is no undo: a fold can't be taken back. Reset, in the menu on the red strip, restarts the level. If a cat or the fox catches you, or a floor drops you into a hole, the game is over and Retry restarts the level. There are no lives and no timers.

Sound

Orisuji follows your phone's silent mode. To hear it in silent mode, press a volume button while you play: the sound stays on until you quit the app.

Par and the stamp

Each level has a par: the fewest actions it can be solved in, counting steps, folds, unfolds and waits. Finish in par to earn the stamp.

Progress

Progress is saved on your device and synced through iCloud when iCloud is on, so it follows you to your other devices. Achievements go to Game Center. Both belong to your Apple account; we don't see them.
